Right over the river from both our Dover and Portsmouth offices is the State of Maine. Many people who work in the Seacoast of New Hampshire live in Maine. Family or divorce law is state-specific and the state in which you can go to court to get a family law matter resolved is going to be governed most likely by the state in which you live. Family laws can vary significantly from state to state and an attorney that is only admitted to the Bar Association in New Hampshire cannot represent a client in Maine. While most attorneys are only licensed in one state, we have attorneys licensed in both Maine and New Hampshire. This means that fortunately, we can assist you even if you have a family law related issue in a Maine Court.
